Babiniec Mountain is one of the last peaks that finishes the Karkoszosze Range from which the Izersky Mountains begins.
From the Izersky Mountains Babiniec is separated by Kamienna (Rocky) River and International road that goes to Czech Republic .

The ski-slope on Babiniec was working since early eighties. For many skiers it was tightly connected with MKS Karkonosze Ski Club however it belonged to Municipal Council of Szklarska Poręba.

It made a big impression on people who went to Czech Republic. Steep and bumpy with very old, not working properly T-bar lift.

On July 2003 the renovation of the slope has began. After cutting one meter high grass, plenty of stones, boulders and roots appeared.
Happily the summer and autumn were very dry and the renovation works could move faster than it was planned.

The Center started its work at the beginning of January 2004.

First season of Babiniec went good enough. Despite some organizations problems (appearing of small stones on ski slope and beginner's gastronomy),
we tried to modernize the ski slope based on good example of our neighbours to the South
Winter season ended on March 2004.
